Dr. Neaga MD

Dr. Neaga is an Endocrinologist certified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and an active member of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Her practice interest includes diseases such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes, lipid disorders, obesity, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, osteoporosis and fertility such as polycystic ovarian syndrome.

She sees patients over the age of 18 years old and all consultations are covered by the RAMQ.

Yalon A. Dolev, MD, is a Head and Neck Surgeon who specializes in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Dolev completed his undergraduate degree in Physiology with a minor in the Social Studies of Medicine. He then received his MD degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Fascinated by the intricate anatomy of the head and neck, he continued on to complete his residency at McGill University’s Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery program. He then went on to complete a Fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center.

During his training, Dr. Dolev gained a better appreciation for the artistry and creativity involved in both the cosmetic and reconstructive aspects of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His training in both Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as well as Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provide Dr. Dolev with an intimate understanding of the anatomy of the head and neck and all of the complex conditions that affect it. This provides him with the unique ability to safely and comprehensively treat functional, aesthetic and reconstructive conditions.

Gynecology

The Gynecology department at Santé Mont-Royal is open to women of all ages. Our physicians have experience in the hospital setting as well as our clinic.

Dr. Talya Shaulov, MD FRSCS

Dr. Talya Shaulov completed her medical training as well as residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Montreal, and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2014. She then completed a 2-year fellowship at McGill University in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Shaulov is an attending physician in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St-Luc Hospital of the CHUM (Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal). She also has a keen interest in the management of menopause and premature ovarian failure.

Dan Kiely MDCM FRCSC MSc

Dan Kiely is a general obstetrician-gynecologist who completed medical school at McGill University and residency in obstetrics-gynecology at University of Calgary. At Santé Mont Royal, he sees consultations for the full range of general gynecologic problems. At times, patients may require further referral to a subspecialist in gynecology such as a minimally invasive specialist, a prolapse-incontinence specialist, or a fertility specialist. In this case, your visit will serve to start the appropriate investigations and evaluation and then organize appropriate referral. Dr. Kiely is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and has published articles on surgical simulation, medical education, and obstetrics.

Neurology

Our Neurology team offers a broad range of services in neurological medicine. Dr. Altman and Dr. Sidel both work at the Jewish General Hospital and can be followed at Santé Mont-Royal on a regular basis.

Dr. Robert Altman MD FRCP(C)

Dr. Altman is a Montreal-based neurologist and attending physician at the Jewish General Hospital. He is fellowship trained in neurologic complications of systemic medical diseases and electromyography.

He completed his medical training at the University of Montréal and residency/fellowship at McGill University Health Center. He also has expertise in management of stroke, MS, neurologic complications of pregnancy, and migraine.

Dr. Michael Sidel B.Sc. MD CM FRCPC

Dr. Sidel trained at McGill University in Neurology. He completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders Fellowship with a clinical and research focus. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill. Dr. Sidel is based at the Jewish General Hospital and the Montreal Neurological Hospital.

Dr. Sidel works in all areas of Neurology including headache, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke but his main area of interest and expertise is in movement disorders neurology which includes: tremor, Parkinson’s disease, dystonia and tics.

Barbara Lobel-Buch, P.Dt.

Barbara is a Professional Dietitian who graduated from McGill University and has been working at the MUHC for the past 6 years. She has both hospital and clinic experience and is a member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec.

She is currently accepting referrals for common medical problems such as weight loss, diabetes, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal diseases and intolerances.

Barbara will provide you with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve your nutritional goals.

Dr. Cheryl Blum
Clinical Psychologist

Cheryl Rose Blum obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Ottawa and she is a registered member of L'Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec. Dr. Blum specializes in Anxiety and Depressive Disorders and she has extensive training and experience implementing and supervising psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Blum is dedicated to providing clients with a warm, safe environment to share their emotions. Through therapy, clients will learn practical tools for coping with their thoughts and feelings more effectively. Therapy tends to be short-term and goal-directed. Dr. Blum employs an integrative approach to therapy, anchored in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) principles, drawing on techniques from Experiential Therapy.




Dr. Robin Moszkowski
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Moszkowski provides therapy to children and their parents, adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional difficulties (anxiety, depression, anger), behavioural problems, and social struggles. A particular area of specialization is in helping parents navigate the stresses and anxieties of pregnancy, babyhood and childhood, focusing on attachment and the parent-child relationship. Using a brain-based developmental approach, she works from cognitive-behavioural and interpersonal neurobiological frameworks. Through the cultivation of mindfulness and self-compassion, Dr. Moszkowski helps her clients develop resilience and wellbeing through all stages of development.

Dr. Moszkowski obtained her doctoral degree from the Department of Psychology at Concordia University in 2009 and has been a member of L'Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec since then. She has trained at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, the Montreal Jewish General Hospital, and the Montreal Children’s Hospital.


Dr. Lea Thaler
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Lea Thaler is a clinical psychologist specializing in treating eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder), depression, anxiety, substance use, and sexual and relational problems. She offers assessment and therapy to older adolescents, adults and couples in both English and French. In addition to her private practice, she works full-time at the Eating Disorders Program at the Douglas University Institute and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University.

Dr. Thaler received her B.A. in Honours Psychology from McGill University. She then completed her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a licensed member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. Dr. Thaler conducts research on the genetic basis of eating disorders, as well as on treatment outcome in eating disorders. Previously, she conducted research on female sexual dysfunction.


Dr. Jacinthe Lemelin
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Jacinthe Lemelin received her training at the University of Montreal, the University of Quebec in Montreal and the United States. She is also a member of l'Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec. Her professional activities encompass clinical practice, research and university education. Dr. Lemelin specializes in the cognitive behavioral approach (including Mindfulness) for adults and relies on scientifically recognized practices.

 

 

 

Arielle Buch-Frolich
Clinical Psychologist PhD student

Arielle Buch-Frohlich (PhD/PsyD, C.) is currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) and is being supervised by Dr. Cheryl Rose Blum and Dr. Dennis Kalogeropoulos at Santé Mont-Royal. She offers individual or couple services for issues pertaining to sexuality, romantic relationships, parenting skills and support, trauma, career counseling, and anxiety. Arielle completed a full-year internship at the Sex and Couple Therapy Service at the Allan Memorial Institute (MUHC) and at UQAM, Arielle has experience conducting Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Young's Schema Therapy with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, anger management and emotional inhibition. Arielle is fully bilingual and provides services in French and English.



Surgery

Dr. Kass MD FRCS(C)

Dr. Kass is at our clinic on a monthly basis for consultations regarding any patient needing general surgery. The services offered are a wide range. Please note that Dr. Kass only takes consultation appointments at Santé Mont-Royal, the surgeries are not performed at our clinic.
