Constructed of a silvered metal alloy, the obverse featuring a red card stock inset covered by a transparent celluloid face, overlaid by a banner bearing an owners name of RES. STRAUSS 3. CP., defaced by a silvered bronze starburst which obscured additional inscriptions, itself bearing a central enameled medallion overlaid by a shoulder board of Kaiser Alexander Garde Grenadier Regiment 1, circumscribed by an inscription of ZUR
