Description

The wine fermented more slowly than any other wine the winemaker produced

with flavors of Lemon Curd

The Sauvignon Blanc grape clusters were sent directly to the press and the juice underwent a native fermentation in neutral oak barrels

It’s bright and floral

Bura-Mrgudic 'Basina' Plavac Mali Croatia, 2021 northern italy The wine fermented more slowlyA testament to the traditions of Croatian winemaking, this Plavac Mali (a relative precursor of Zinfandel) is made with extreme care in a limited production of ca. 2000 bottles per year. Delicate tannins and purposeful acid provide a perfect stage for its notes of blueberry, plum, and white pepper. We would recommend pairing this wine with something just as tied to the Adriatic, a simple fried calamari, or a comforting evapi.
