Germany, SS. A Rare Waffen-SS Latvian Legion Arm Shield United Republic of the centrepiece ring inscribed in(rmelschild der lettischen Freiwilligen der Waffen SS). Of multi piece construction, consisting of an off white cotton twill base, overlaid on the obverse by a layer of maroon cotton till, defaced by a diagonal off white tresse in representation of a Latvian national emblem, topped by a black bare bearing a printed white inscription of LATVIJA, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), a scarce domestically produced variant in uniform removed and
