Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a gilded oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a silvered swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, with a third rivet visible through the obverse of the wreath holding the pinback in place, maker marked
